Just got my Mad Catz Fender bass.Out of the box the controller looks cool... Easy assembly just pop the head on, add the strap, and toss in the batteries.
I wish I could tell you how well it worked. Unfortunately the bass guitar loses connection every 10-15 seconds and then reconnects 5-15 seconds later.I could not make it through a single song.I was able to hold a semi stable connection if I stayed within 5 feet of the USB dongle.I say semi because if you move around... there goes the connection again.I've already filed for a return with Amazon.
Mad Catz obviously skimped on the wireless transmitter/receiver in this guitar.What a waste, $90 for a guitar that doesn't work... phiffff...Pros:Looks great, good feel, good weight.Little larger than the RB guitar but comfortable.
Cons:It doesn't freak'n work!!LOSES CONNECTION EVERY 10-15 SECONDS.Strum bars are rather 'clicky'.Frets were omitted on the finger taps.Does not provide auto calibration.
I would not recommend this product until Mad Catz adds a functional wireless transmitter/receiver to this product.Prospective buyers be warned.
