(More customer reviews)I got this for my birthday the day before yesterday, it does the job. I have Guitar Hero: Metellica, Rock Band 2 and (now) Band Hero. The mic does really well but it seems to have a lot of echo to it, but it feels good in the hand and has a pretty good weight to it (I use to sing in bands so I know what mics should feel like). It's pretty sensitive (it picks up voice tremors during long note holds) when you hold it about an inch or so directly in front of your mouth. The cord to it is a good 10 feet or so, so there is PLENTY of room to walk around or just do whatever while singing.
